Asteromorph, an AI for Science lab based in Seoul, has raised $30 million in total seed funding to build scientific superintelligence.
This figure reflects a previously raised KRW 5 billion tranche and a newly closed KRW 40 billion financing, bringing Asteromorph’s cumulative seed funding to KRW 45 billion, or approximately $30 million. With this close, Asteromorph has completed one of the largest seed-stage financings in South Korea.
The latest investment was led by BonAngels Venture Partners, with participation from FuturePlay, Mirae Asset Venture Investment, Mirae Asset Capital, IMM Investment, Premier Partners, Korea Development Bank, KDB Capital Corporation, SV Investment, STIC Ventures, and other leading investors.
Asteromorph was founded in 2025 to build scientific superintelligence. We are a team of engineers and scientists dedicated to driving a paradigm shift in how humanity understands and harnesses the world.
We are pursuing an AI-native knowledge factory where artificial intelligence generates hypotheses for unresolved problems across biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Promising outputs can then be reviewed and tested with research groups, turning them into real-world discoveries.
At the core of this effort is the system layer around large language models: domain grounding, recursive reasoning, model orchestration, extended context injection, and experimental feedback loops. Rather than simply training larger models from scratch, Asteromorph develops advanced reasoning systems that operate on top of LLMs and can generate novel concepts, understand complex problems, and reason across disciplines.
The vision is to turn frontier science and engineering challenges into scalable, repeatable knowledge-production workflows.
